Richard A. Kane is a Senior Construction Consultant with Professional Consultants and PROCON Consulting Architects, Inc., both international building design and construction consulting companies. Mr. Kane has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, including 11 years as a Construction Project Executive and Project Manager for large-scale commercial and institutional university projects.
Mr. Kane has extensive experience with management of all phases of construction projects, from project estimating, scheduling and project management, through beneficial occupancy and close-out. He has directed the construction of projects valued in excess of $ 100 million and 1 million square feet in scope. Mr. Kane’s responsibilities at PROCON include conducting existing condition assessments and consultation in the planning and design of new construction projects, as well as forensic investigation and expert analysis of construction claims, contract document issues, budgets, completion schedules, schedule delay claims, entitlement analysis, consequential damage analysis, cost to complete estimates, construction defect cost assessments, remedial work plans / budgets, close out requirements, and construction contract default issues.
He has provided expert analysis and expert testimony involving delay, acceleration, loss of productivity, unresolved change orders, defective specifications, and related damages, as well as analysis of business interruption and property damage insurance claims.
