Roofing & Waterproofing

This  area of practice is the marriage of PROCON's overall architectural / engineering experience in commercial building design and construction, together with specialized building material expertise.  As design complexity and construction costs continue to increase, owners, architects, and building contractors understand the value and benefits of consulting with a specialized consulting firm such as PROCON.  PROCON provides technical consultation for the design and construction of roofing assemblies and related flashing detail in the same manner that a specialized acoustical consultant may be engaged to assist an architect in the design of a concert hall.

PROCON has the capability to address issues such as proper design and specification of architectural materials, structural engineering considerations,  construction cost analysis and construction observation of roofing assemblies. In addition, PROCON provides forensic services for investigation and remedy of roofing problems and failures. 

Relative to tile and stone flooring assemblies, waterproofing can be a critical design element that must be properly detailed, specified, and installed to properly perform and protect investors from damage related to failure. PROCONS knowledge of industry codes and standards, and familiarity with next generation waterproofing products and methods,  can assist design professionals to ensure their proper integration.
