MARTHA JEFFERSON HOSPITAL - CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA
PROCON has been engaged by Kahler Slater Architects of Milwaukee, Wisconsin to provide consulting services for the design and construction of the natural stone veneer exterior wall system at the Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottsville, VA. PROCON developed the contract specifications, and will also provide quality assurance obervation and testing during the progress of the exterior wall envelope construction, scheduled to commence in Winter 2010.
The stone veneer masonry exterior wall of the new 500,000 SF hospital will be constructed using the direct adhesion method with a new technology bondable waterproofing and crack isolation isolation membrane, and lightweight polymer-modified cement adhesives and masonry joint pointng mortar.
