As consulting architects and engineers, PROCON has the unique capability to combine highly-specialized technical knowledge of terrazzo design / construction with a multi-disciplinary understanding of related building systems and materials compatibility, such as behavior of reinforced concrete, water vapor transmission through concrete, epoxy mortars and crack isolation membranes. In addition, PROCON maintains specialized equipment for conducting field testing of terrazzo assemblies, such as tensile pull adhesion equipment, acoustic sounding with rotary percussive equipment, internal relative humidity testing equipment and digital microscopy to assess finished surface quality.
